OUR SERVICES:
YCAP offers the Invisible Wounds Program, which supports teens and young adults between the ages of 13-24 who have witnessed a crime in their community, school, and/or home, by providing some of the following supportive services: advocacy, referrals, community support, and trauma-focused therapy. DRUG & ALCOHOL PREVENTION SERVICES YCAP offers drug and alcohol prevention services in the City of Yonkers for students between the ages of 10 – 21 years old. We use evidence-based programming to educate individuals on the use, misuse, and abuse of drugs. The program is funded byt the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). YCAP is committed to aiding the community of Yonkers in food insecurity. This commitment extends beyond our traditional food pantry services. If a client is in need of food, YCAP will supply them with an emergency food bag from our pantry. YCAP also partners with the City of Yonkers Municipal Housing to address the need of a food delivery service to low-income and disabled Yonkers residents. For over 50 years, YCAP has provided a Food Pantry program for the residents of Yonkers. Summer Leadership Training Program: YCAP Summer Leadership Training Project addresses the priority need for socio-emotional health and wellness. YCAP delivers evidence-based programs (EBPS) to middle school and high school students throughout the City of Yonkers. YCAP facilitates Back to School initiatives. YCAP also is part of Workforce Development & Training. YCAP partners with local businesses and coalitions to provide services, and resources, and give back to the residents of Yonkers. YCAP offers training in Problem Gambling, and a Community Garden. |
